FoG 2020 Presentation Lisa Hughes, Cambridge University Hospital: Non-Invasive Genetic Testing in Pregnancy: Lessons From Genetic Counselling Practice

Lisa obtained a BSc in Biology with Sociology then trained as a paediatric nurse, working in London and Australia. She changed careers to become a Genetic Counsellor in early 2000 and worked in Cardiff for the All Wales Genetic Service. While working there she obtained an MSc in Genetic Counselling at Cardiff University. She now does clinics in Peterborough and Norwich, seeing individuals and families with a wide range of genetic issues. She became a registered genetic counsellor in 2014.
