Andrea Jorgensen is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Liverpool. She obtained an MSc with distinction in Medical Statistics from Lancaster University in 2004, and a PhD in Medical Statistics from the University of Liverpool in 2010. Andrea leads the Department of Biostatistics’ pharmacogenetics research group and co-led the MRC Network of Hubs for Trials Methodology Research’s Stratified Medicine Working Group. Her research interests are within statistical methods related to pharmacogenetic research, particularly stratified trials, systematic reviews, meta-analysis and analysis of time-to-event data. She also has an interest in statistical methods for personalised/stratified medicine more broadly, including analysis of biomarker data. Andrea works closely with colleagues within the University of Liverpool’s Wolfson Centre for Personalised Medicine and is experienced in analysing large pharmacogenetic datasets across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including anticoagulation, anti-epileptic drugs and asthma
